When I see people take photographs of their own little chillen’s, I often hear the dreaded, “Say Cheese!”.  Now – I am not typing this to call you out or to embarrass you.  Don’t try to deny it, though; I know you say it.  Well, you need to stop.  Right now!  Do you want to know why?  When you say that little phrase, your children automatically rear up the most awful, unrealistic smile you have ever been able to coerce out of your Babe.  If you want to only have photographs of your child with the “cheesiest” grin (yes – the HILARIOUS pun was intended), then please, continue in your ways.  If you want sincere, beautiful, realistic smiles, play with them.  Talk with them about their favorite superhero, or their favorite movie when you’ve got the camera out.  Pretend to tickle them.  Please – do it for society.  Quit allowing your child to make cheesy grins .  Just like that one I added on to the end of the sentence…

I’ve included some wonderful examples of Cheesy and Non-cheesy grins (no comments on my “non-cheesy” grin…) of my wonderful husband and I.  I love this guy .

Today’s tip (or rather yesterday’s tip) is geared toward the mom who is trying to take a photograph of their little sweetie with their Nikon Coolpix, or Canon Powershot.  The thing I hate the most about these little cameras is the delay in the shutter.  It almost always results in a lost expression or funny incident.  By the time the shutter clicks, the moment is gone!  Well – anticipate this moment next time.  Press the shutter halfway down.  This will “prep” the camera to take the shot.  When your little one looks oh-so-sweet, click it all the way and it will immediately trigger the shutter.  Leave a comment if this helps you out!  Thanks for checking out my blog and Consider Yourselves Loved…
