Chelsea Layne & Michael Brubaker | Destination Wedding Photographer

Friday, March 16th, 2012

**If there are over 50 people who comment on this post, I’ll gift the Bride and Groom an 11×14**

I just loved this wedding.  So much creativity.  So much support.  So much love.

I traveled a couple of hours to Twin Falls the morning of their wedding.  As I drove up to the venue, I knew it was going to be a great day.  Not only was it entirely too beautiful, but there were all these really great, somewhat run-down buildings everywhere.  For those of you who know me, you KNOW that I love me some run-down buildings.  I also drove by this turquoise door and I knew I had to use it.  You know what makes Chelsea and I BFFs?  One of the first things she said was, “Did you see the turquoise door?  THAT’s where I want photos taken!!!”  Thank you, Dear Chelsea & Michael for letting me be a part of your day.  I am so happy for you and excited to see where you’re taken on your life-journey.  Love you both very much!!!  Enjoy your Sneak and Consider Yourselves Loved…

The Beautiful Jennifer & Thane | Boise Wedding Photographer

Wednesday, July 13th, 2011

Yes, Ma’am.  This was indeed a KEEERAAZY few weeks.  With four weddings in just over 15 days, it has been trying, to say the least, to keep up!  But here we are – this gorgeous wedding on Sunday, June 27th at the Sawtooth Winery.  I loved the theme of this wedding – it was such a soft, romantic vintage feel…oh – just lovely.  And the bride?  Seriously one of THE best hairstyles I have EVER seen – sooo beautiful!  I want to add more details, but I’ll need to do that later.  For now, here is the lovely wedding of Jennifer & Thane – I had so much fun with the two of you – you are truly beautiful people, inside and out, and I am so blessed to have been able to be a part of your day :) .  Enjoy your feature and Consider Yourselves Loved…

Oh – and trying out a new format.  Like?  Dislike?  Indifferent?  Why?

Amazing Engagement Session | Boise Wedding Photographer

Saturday, July 9th, 2011

This gal is the sister of one of my favorite couples from a couple years back – THIS wedding.  She called me up to let me know that she was coming to Boise and wanted her engagement photographs done downtown and in McCall.  I was so excited for their session – first of all, isn’t Tiffany stunning???  And of course she was gonna catch a gorgeous guy, too!  What better combo for great photographs?  Also – Tiffany really put a lot of thought into what they wore for their session.  They changed a few times and it added to their photographs by giving them such a variety.  Thanks, Tiffany & Matt, for letting me photograph you two!  It was like I was photographing a couple of real-live models ;) .  Enjoy your feature and Consider Yourselves Loved…

Congratulations Marie & Shane!!! | Boise Idaho Wedding Photographer

Friday, June 25th, 2010

*sigh*  Oh, how I love weddings.  I love love.  Thank you, Marie and Shane, for letting me witness your love through my lens.  What a blessing indeed!

You both are such beautiful people, and everyone at your wedding was undeniably happy for you.  I think the happiest smile, the most consistent joy was from Flat Jay.  I don’t think he ever even stopped smiling *snerk*.  I don’t blame him, though.  You both are such amazing people.  Shane – I loved how you carried Marie’s dress for her.  I loved your expression when you saw her in her wedding dress for the first time.  Marie – I loved how you incorporated so much of Shane’s love into the wedding (anyone have a guess as to what Shane’s love is?  I’ll give you a hint, it’s John Deere Green…HA!  I am so funny).  You have so much respect for him and it was beautiful to witness.

Thank you for letting me photograph such an important day in your lives.  Thank you for making it extra fun for me by adding an amazing piece of farming equipment.  I’m pretty sure my son would be pretty upset to have missed the wedding had he known there was a big John Deere Tractor (well…that AND cake).  I love you both – I am so happy for you!!!  Enjoy your feature and Consider Yourselves Loved…

Keepin' busy...

I Love Pick-Up Day! | Boise Wedding Photographer

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

I love it when my clients come to pick up their photographs.  It’s so rewarding to see their reaction to their photographs printed large and their albums completed.  Noel and Andrew’s wedding was in June, but they took off to Mexico to teach and travel for awhile, so they were only able to pick up their order today.  These are just some snaps of what they ordered.  Thanks, Noel and Andrew, for letting me be a part of your wedding!!!  Enjoy your stuff and Consider Yourselves Loved…

Here’s a photograph of their large framed prints: 20×24, 2 10x20s and 16×20

Awesome New Photograph Paintings | Boise Wedding Photographer

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

Okay – so, I have been in love with the idea of having Lavone’ Vannoy of Elegantly-Painted digitally paint a photograph of mine for years!  However – I just couldn’t decide on the “perfect” photograph.  UNTIL !!!  The wedding I had with Shelly Fulton and Mike Arnold in September, just a few short weeks before giving birth to my lovely Cecilia.  Their wedding took place in McCall where the scenery was unreal.  Not only that, but Shelly really knew how to relax and work the camera.  She did a great job with my instruction and because of a faithful bridesmaid who helped “fluff” her dress and amazing surroundings, I shot one of my favorite photographs of the season.

I am now offering these to my clients, so if you are looking for something completely different than anything you’ve ever seen before, be sure to get one of these ordered.  You will not regret it!!!

The first photograph you see here is my own photograph, straight from the camera without any editing.

This next photograph is my own photoshop edit.

Shelly Fulton & Mike Arnold Wedding Feature | Boise Destination Wedding Photographer

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

When sharing some of these images with a fellow photographer, she said, “This bride looks totally blissed out”.  It’s true.  She was totally blissed out :) .  I met Shelly quite awhile ago (before we even found out we were pregnant).  She booked her wedding with me and I am soooo happy that she did.  We had a wonderful time with her and her crew.  She got married at a beautiful place in McCall that is still being built.   The scenery was too gorgeous to have had the wedding and reception inside anyway!  A sandy area blanketed their ceremony site and and beautiful greenery surrounded their reception.

Everything was perfect.  Even when it started raining.  It didn’t matter – the blissfulness continued on.

Now – I had never actually met Mike before the wedding.  However, when I was photographing him alone with his groomsmen, I could tell of his love for Shelly.  He was just as enthusiastic to become her husband as she was to become his wife.  There were little comments that he made which demonstrated how much he cherishes this lady.  It was just beautiful.  When I photographed them together, again, it was extremely apparent how devoted they really are to one another.

What a blessed way to end my Wedding Season before the birth of my baby girl.  Thank you, Shelly and Mike, for letting me witness your beautiful union.  May God richly bless you…

Also – a quick shout out to my fabulous second-shooter, Diana Palmer of Yan Photography (who just moved to Utah – so contact her for your own portrait session all you Utahns!!!) and to my assistant Lori.  Thanks, Ladies!
