Chelsea Layne & Michael Brubaker | Destination Wedding Photographer
Friday, March 16th, 2012**If there are over 50 people who comment on this post, I’ll gift the Bride and Groom an 11×14**
I just loved this wedding. So much creativity. So much support. So much love.
I traveled a couple of hours to Twin Falls the morning of their wedding. As I drove up to the venue, I knew it was going to be a great day. Not only was it entirely too beautiful, but there were all these really great, somewhat run-down buildings everywhere. For those of you who know me, you KNOW that I love me some run-down buildings. I also drove by this turquoise door and I knew I had to use it. You know what makes Chelsea and I BFFs? One of the first things she said was, “Did you see the turquoise door? THAT’s where I want photos taken!!!” Thank you, Dear Chelsea & Michael for letting me be a part of your day. I am so happy for you and excited to see where you’re taken on your life-journey. Love you both very much!!! Enjoy your Sneak and Consider Yourselves Loved…

Monday, March 5th, 2012The Beautiful Jennifer & Thane | Boise Wedding Photographer
Wednesday, July 13th, 2011Yes, Ma’am. This was indeed a KEEERAAZY few weeks. With four weddings in just over 15 days, it has been trying, to say the least, to keep up! But here we are – this gorgeous wedding on Sunday, June 27th at the Sawtooth Winery. I loved the theme of this wedding – it was such a soft, romantic vintage feel…oh – just lovely. And the bride? Seriously one of THE best hairstyles I have EVER seen – sooo beautiful! I want to add more details, but I’ll need to do that later. For now, here is the lovely wedding of Jennifer & Thane – I had so much fun with the two of you – you are truly beautiful people, inside and out, and I am so blessed to have been able to be a part of your day

Oh – and trying out a new format. Like? Dislike? Indifferent? Why?
My Brother’s Wedding | Destination Wedding Photographer
Thursday, March 31st, 2011My brother has been in the military ever since I can remember. The most recent training (up until now), was when he attended school in Arkansas to become a Navigator on the C130. In March of 2004, my brother was getting ready head home to Lumuli’s and my wedding. A few days before his flight home, he met this girl. He was getting ready to graduate from Navigation school and she was getting ready to graduate from college. They met and decided that it would be fun to hang out until Doug left. When Doug originally showed me Kathryn’s photograph, he had a sort of “twinkle” in his eye…or in his voice – I can’t remember for sure. Whatever it was, I knew she was someone special.
Here we are, nearly 7 years later, and Kathryn and Doug have made the ultimate commitment. To love one another for good. I was ecstatic when they told us that they were going to get married. Such an exciting time for all of us who know Kathryn. She is a perfect fit for my brother and family and we couldn’t have asked for a better Sister-in-Law or Auntie to our kiddos.
Although Kathryn has been a part of our family for years, we are excited for their unity in marriage. Congratulations to both of you!!!
Now – past the sentimental-he’s-the-coolest-brother-man-I-can’t-believe-he’s-married bit and on to the wedding
.
Ceremony & Reception: Aeneas Building, Jackson, TN (quaint and cute with tons of great architecture!)
Rings: Steve Rambo, Downtown Boise, ID (love their rings – Doug’s ring shouts “I’m Doug’s Ring”)
Dress: Low’s Bridal, Brinklee, AR (MASSIVE bridal store…wish we had one here!)
Florist: J. Kent Freeman, Jackson, TN (amazing designer – LOVED the tree centerpiece)
Caterer: Cajun Cookers, Humbolt, TN (TO DIE FOR food!!! Have you ever had Sweet Potato Pie? SOOOOOO good!!!)
Cake Designer: Jan Childress, Jackson TN – (731) 267-0955 (beautiful and yummy!)
Loved the beautiful sash on the dress!
These “mom and daughter shots” are always some of my faves!!!
My handsome brother getting ready *tear.
The “first look”
This “non-smiley, looking-serious” look is sooo not my brother and Kathryn, but I still love this shot.
Do my brother and dad look alike? I don’t know…you be the judge.
Check out the wood grain on this puppy!
My Bub. He was not feeling well, but he sure did his best to walk Mom down the aisle.

Attention Wedding Party Brides & Grooms!!! | Boise Wedding Photographer
Tuesday, January 11th, 2011I was so bummed to not have been able to attend The Wedding Party Show as a vendor this year, but after dropping off Lauren & Zach Douty’s wedding album to the Wine River Cellars’ Booth, I realized that there were so many great vendors to choose from! I wished I could have actually hung out a bit and taste some of the yummy meatballs and other appetizers!!! Anyway – I hope you Lovebirds had a fantastic time at the show – The Green Book is a WONDERFUL resource for all of your local wedding needs – they also put on a great show!
Also – check me out in the Green Book for Ashki Photography images. I always feel like a High School Girl who’s looking through her yearbook to see how many times she appeared…hehee…

This wedding was absolutely amazing. I’ve never shot at Wood River Cellars in Eagle, ID, but the setting was amazing. It was DEFINITELY one of my favorite places ever to photograph! And their bridal suite is just as impressive!!! Never mind the fact that Lauren and Zach are beautiful!
I photographed their engagement photographs a few short months ago and despite mosquitoes and impending thunder storms, we got some incredible shots. Wouldn’t you know it, the day this wedding took place it was even more beautiful! God’s very own softbox was out (a few thin clouds) and the temperature was absolutely perfect! Just such a beautiful day, indeed!!!
The ceremony was beautiful…I even shed a few tears (I’m a tad emotional). The thing that struck me the most was the song that the bride walked down the aisle, “Pure Bride” by Leeland. It was so moving – and it was so perfectly timed. Man…I really love weddings.
Thank you, Lauren & Zach, for allowing me to be a part of your incredible day. I feel honored that you chose me to photograph your wedding. Enjoy your Feature and Consider Yourselves Loved…
Squyres/Redshaw Wedding | Boise Wedding Photographer
Thursday, August 19th, 2010Man oh MAN! How I LOOOOOVE a good wedding
. I had so much fun at this wedding – and boy – these people really know how to party. Our day started at 1:30 in the afternoon and didn’t end until almost midnight! The night was full of beautiful moments, toasts, dancing, amazing food and was absolutely seamless.
I photographed Ruby and Jeff’s engagement photographs in January and knew that I was a lucky girl that they chose me to photograph their wedding.
Thank you to everyone who made Ruby and Jeff’s day absolutely wonderful! Enjoy your feature, Mr. and Mrs. Redshaw, and Consider Yourselves Loved…
