The Sweet”P” Family :) | Boise Family Photographer

These babies?  Can you believe their cuteness???  When Mom told me that her youngest was just 10 months old after I saw how much hair she had, I just couldn’t believe it!!!  Is she not the cutest little gal?  And the older one, with her own gorgeous locks?  Wow!   I had so much fun photographing this cute little family.  They were the winners of June’s Photography Contest and won a free session with yours truly!  What?  You don’t know about my contests?  Well, then…sign up for my newsletter here, and look for your own chance to win!!!

Thanks, “P” Family, for letting me photograph your beautiful family.  Enjoy your feature and Consider Yourselves Loved…

Man oh MAN!  How I LOOOOOVE a good wedding :) .  I had so much fun at this wedding – and boy – these people really know how to party.  Our day started at 1:30 in the afternoon and didn’t end until almost midnight!  The night was full of beautiful moments, toasts, dancing, amazing food and was absolutely seamless.

I photographed Ruby and Jeff’s engagement photographs in January and knew that I was a lucky girl that they chose me to photograph their wedding.

Thank you to everyone who made Ruby and Jeff’s day absolutely wonderful!  Enjoy your feature, Mr. and Mrs. Redshaw, and Consider Yourselves Loved…

A cheer for the bride!

Ruby & Jeff wrote letters to eachother to open before they saw eachother <3

Gift for the Flower Girl :) .

First look!

I WOULD LOVE to have these gorgeous shoulders...beautiful, Ruby!

Jeff's Wedding Day Gift :) .

Everyone likes to play along with the String Quartet, don't they?

Listening to Toasts...

This couple cut it up all night long!

This shot is totally out of order...but still cool ;) .

The Beautiful “M” Family | Boise Family Photographer

August 18th, 2010

This gorgeous family is actually related to my amazing neighbor.  I loved this session – it was right in Springtime, when the grasses were gorgeous.  I could not believe how well they got along.  So – not only did I have a great session, but I got a fence to boot!  That’s right, People.  The dad in these photographs traded some SAWHEET photographs for fencework around our house!!!  Did you know I sometimes trade???  We’re looking for a person who wants to trade a small kitchen remodel right now.  Any takers ;) ?

Thanks, “M” Family, for letting me be spoiled by your beauty!  Enjoy your Feature and Consider Yourselves Loved…

Gorgeous Boys… | Boise Family Photographer

August 12th, 2010

I just love these boys.  It seems like I have been blessed lately with many folks coming back to me for more portraits.  It’s always such an honor that someone, who has had me photograph their family before, would come back to allow me the privilege once again.  It makes me especially giddy when I get to see little guys and gals grow up before my very  lense ;) .

Aren’t these boys just the sweetest things???  SOOOOO darlin!  And they had the most joyous disposition…what a wonderful combination.  Mr. and Mrs. S – you two make beeeeeee-autiful babies.  Thanks for letting me photograph them.  Enjoy your feature and Consider Yourselves Loved…

Do you all remember this lovely mama?  I was privileged enough to be part of a news story about maternity photography a few years ago.  The Mama of this gorgeous family graciously allowed me to photograph her on video!  And here we are, two years later, with the product of that beautiful belly!  All three of their girls look so much like mama.  Look at the eyes!!!  I could have photographed this family all night long :) .  Thanks, “B” Family, for letting me document this time in your lives.  Enjoy your feature and Consider Yourselves Loved…

Just look at this beautiful gal!  I’ve been so lucky to be able to photograph a group of friends from Centennial – GO PATRIOTS!!!  We had so much fun exploring this cool new, “secret” place.  Believe it or not, all of these photographs were done within just about 200 yards of each other.  So much fun!!!  Thank you, Miss “C”, for letting me take your senior photographs this summer – YOU ROCK!  Enjoy your feature and Consider Yourselves Loved…

Brown/Boudreau Wedding | Idaho Destination Wedding Photographer

Cascade, Cascade.  How do I love thee?  Let me count thy ways *sigh*.  Beautiful, Cascade.  Does it compare to anywhere else???

I met Bri and Jeff back in September – just two weeks before I had my baby girl.  A darned sweet couple, they are :) .  I knew right away that Bri had a very kind heart.  And Jeff?  He is HILARIOUS!  I just love his sense of humor.  Such a crack-up.

It was so fun to see how much they compliment each other.  I loved their ceremony – they had probably the most beautiful vows I’d ever heard.  I also really loved one of the stories the pastor, Trevor, had mentioned.  Apparently, Bri saw Jeff on Facebook or something and made a post right afterward with his picture saying, “My future husband”.  Did it put Jeff off?  No!  He knew he had a gem who was crushing on him.  He didn’t mind.  I just love it!!!

I really enjoyed your wedding, Bri and Jeff.  You are a total delight and I can’t wait to see how your love grows through the years.  God bless you both!!!  Enjoy your Feature and Consider Yourselves Loved…

Rainbow Engagement Session | Boise Wedding Photographer

July 15th, 2010

“And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations: I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.”

Genesis 9:12-13

I just love this verse.  The rainbow is such an AMAZING promise!  How cool is it that one of my wedding clients for this year got to experience the rainbow in their own engagement session?  Soooo cool!

Meet Lauren and Zach.  Such a darned sweet couple.  Beautiful, both inside and out.  So – funny inside story – when I first met Lauren and Zach, my son and hubby were still at the house, getting ready to leave, but Julius kept begging me for attention tell me that he wanted cheese crackers.  I was feeling sooo frazzled and mentioned this to them, and Lauren, bless her heart, said “If it makes you feel any better, I already like you.”  Thanks, Lauren.  You rock :) .

I can’t wait to photograph your wedding.  I am so happy for both of you.  Enjoy your feature and consider yourselves loved…

Febreeze + Julius = A Very Expensive Lesson | Boise Idaho Photographer

July 8th, 2010

DISCOVERING THE CRIME SCENE:

As I was chatting up my lovely friend on the phone, Julius was just a tad too quiet.  I didn’t think anything of it until he came downstairs and held the Febreeze bottle out like a gun and sprayed Cece’s face.  After letting him know that was not OK, and after comforting our baby girl, I realized that the bottle had about a 1/4 of an inch left.  Last time I looked, the bottle was almost full.  I headed back upstairs to something that smelled like the bathroom in the back of a Greyhound Bus.  And there it was…my desk looked like it had been flooded.

ASSESSING THE DAMAGE:

Starting from the right side and looking to the left, I assessed the damage.  Laptops were closed – Whew!  Printer was dryable – thank goodness!  Desk was wipeable – Hallelujah!  Monitor?  OH NO, MY MONITOR!!!! My $1800 monitor was completely soaked.  I saw the big screen begin to flicker, then greet me with horrible lines that looked like a barcode.  And….it was down.  I immediately unplugged it and took it apart.  After letting it “dry out” for about 8 hours, Lumuli and I put it back together only to find the same outcome.  I felt SICK to my stomach about.  Such a bummer.

THE GRACE:

But you know what?  My husband simply says to me (bless his heart), “Honey – things like this are going to happen.  We have children.  It’s okay.”  I could just kiss him…it’s very humbling to me that he would be full of such grace for me.  Especially when I know I would be full of “Why weren’t you watching closer?” and “What were you thinking?” judgements. I suppose I could learn a thing or two from him.

THE PICTURES:

No, I don’t have any…you know it’s bad when the photographer doesn’t even take photographs of the incident.

WHAT WAS JULIUS THINKING?

Well.  He was thinking that he would like to clean his cars.  And my desk.  And my monitor.  My $1800 monitor.  I love that little guy.  I know he was just trying to help.

WHAT NEXT?

SO – I have ordered another monitor and should be here by the end of next week.  Which actually works out perfectly, because the fam and I are taking a road-trip to see my parents in Kennewick and my friends near Seattle.  We are excited to get away, but I know I will be anxious to make up these last few days without a computer, so-to-speak.  So – those of you who are awaiting BLOG features amongst other things (sorry, Brown/Boudreau Wedding!!!), please be patient with me as I catch up.

Thanks for tuning in.  I’ll be back at the end of next week.

OMG! Is Cece ok? Tell Julius to not be messin up my DIL’s face! ;)
What a good little cleaner though…Last year J did this w some kitchen cleaner all over Alan’s TV. He was trying to clean off the crayon he’d colored on it! Ugh-only made it easier for Alan to ‘claim’ he needed a new, BIGGER tv lol.
Give that special man of yours an extra love-he really is wonderful!

Valerie DSays:

Oh, Cyndee! My kids have “cleaned” with a whole bottle of Febreeze before too! But thankfully, it was only cleaning the bathroom scale.

Isn’t it wonderful to be on the receiving end of grace?

The Beautiful “M” Family | Boise Family Photographer

July 5th, 2010

This wonderful family won an auction bid at “Expedition Inspiration” of a session and a framed storyboard.  It was a complete blessing to photograph them.  They are such a loving family.  Just pure connection.  The love these parents have for eachother and their kiddos is passed right down the line to their girls.  I walked away from this session with a smile on my face and a dance in my heart (yes – I know that’s cheesy, but I really did).  Thank you, “M” Family, for allowing me to be your family’s preferred photographer.  It is an honor!!!  Enjoy your feature and Consider Yourselves Loved…
